At the behest of my 9 year old niece, I finally watched all 8 chapters of Harry Potter. I’m more into the early episodes than the latter, dystopian ones, why does everything have to get so dystopian?! iZombie fell off a dystopian cliff, Rob Thomas!! But I digress. I’m early in my rewatch game and may be fooling myself – from the images selected above, I clearly have an affinity for the latter episodes. I love a good emotional journey.
Darkness and light aside, I can now answer questions about the Ministry of Magic, the muggles, Hagrid, Dumbledore, Voldermort, Sirius Black, Professor Snape, the Weasley twins, Drako, and Neville Longbottom. And while I have yet to read through the series (I know, such a tourist), I can finally answer the eternal question, ‘Which Hogwarts House do you belong in?’
Drum roll, please. While the year ahead holds many mysteries, I’m glad this one is finally solved. I may be racing around, collecting magazines and making lists to create some sort of vision for the new year and the rest of my life (no biggie), but in the meantime, I’m glad I finally got some quality time with Harry, Hermione and Ron.
