Hello, welcome to Miss Sugarbritches, the site where I let my inner fangirl free, running wild with pop culture rants and raves. Raised in the swampland that is central Florida, TV was my babysitter. From 3-11pm I was plugged in. I was so dedicated, in those pre-YouTube days, I recorded my favorite shows on VHS tape for easy re-watching. Highlights included Life Goes On, My So Called Life, and the 1989 MTV VMA performance where Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora performed an acoustic version of Livin' On A Prayer and Wanted Dead or Alive. So damn good. I still have every cord, gesture, and inflection memorized. The result of all that studying and time logged is a dreamy-eyed, fangirling, pop culture maven.

As for the fangirling and pop culture covered here, TV is the highlight, after-all, she helped raise me. As for the featured TV shows, if the words ‘critically acclaimed’ are used to describe a show, you will not find it here. If a show is featured on a premium channel, you will not find accolades here. That’s what the award shows are for. I am living 6-day work weeks, desperate for 3-day weekends, I don’t need the heavy, I need the fluff. I want to feel, but I don’t want to over-feel. I like to keep my brow low, hope you do too.
