Steven Lim and Andrew IInyckyj are living life one flavor explosion at a time for BuzzFeed’s foodie series Worth It. The show follows food lovers Steven and Andrew, along with cameraman Adam Bianchi, to try delicious foods at three price points: affordable, middle tier, and luxury. At the end of each episode, they decide which is the most "Worth It" at its given price point.
The series has five seasons under its belt, with each approximately 15 minute episode packed with exotic tastes, snarky quips, and fun facts. Cake facts, ramen facts, pizza facts, I’m here for all the facts! Plus potato cheers, doughnut cheers, onion ring cheers, I’m here for all the cheers! While they travel more in later seasons, most episodes review restaurants in Los Angeles. I’ve got a whole new list of places to try out!
The dynamic eating duo have quickly won me over – they go together like sweet and sour, dark and creamy, peanut butter and chocolate! Steven is ready to fall in love with anything, especially all things truffle, and he won’t be slowed by mere lactose intolerance. Andrew, the curmudgeon, is harder to impress, is quick with f’bombs, puns and perfect descriptions. He once described NYC holy ground, Joe’s Pizza, as ‘the most pizza that pizza has ever been.’ Amen! The above left photo is the moment he realizes he no longer hates oysters but actually fucking loves them.
The series definitely lives up to its title – in 2017 Worth It won a Streamy Award for best online food show. They’ve even welcomed celebrity chefs David Chang, Mario Batali, and Roy Choi on their tasting adventures. All 5 seasons, nearly 50 episodes, are available on Amazon Prime. As Andrew would say, ‘It’s zesty AF!’
