Picking Up the Pieces

It's been one year since we lost one of our strongest fighters. One year. Though the days are easier, the loss is still so great. You fought like hell, Chester, you really did. All we can do is take these hard won lessons, and continue the fight. Sometimes the fight is a scenic as the top of Grand Canyon, or as mundane as breathing exercises. Either way, one year later, still rising everyday to fight the fight by any means necessary.

Chester's LP brothers wrote this today on the anniversary of his passing:

To our brother Chester,
It has been a year since your passing—a surreal rotation of grief, heartbreak, refusal, and recognition.  And yet it sill feels like you are close by, surrounding us with your memory and your light.  Your one-of-a-kind spirit has authored an indelible imprint on our hearts—our jokes, our joy, and our tenderness.

Eternally grateful for the love, life, and creative passion you shared with us and the world.  We miss you more than words can express.

Love,
M, J, D, R, B

Thanks to Mike for continuing to lead by example from picking up the pieces, to rebuilding and creating again, to talking about grief, gratitude and mental health (in particular at 22:00).
